The event saw the participation of poetry enthusiasts, poets, critics, and media professionals from all over the UAE, including poet Mohammed Abdullah Al-Buraiki, Director of the House of Poetry.
Jehan Elias commenced the evening by conveying appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his unwavering support of the poetic movement. She portrayed the House of Poetry as a refuge for individuals in pursuit of beauty, creativity, and the values of life.
Ahmed Abdel Ghani commenced the readings with his poem "An Ode to the Mirror," exploring themes of longing, love, and self-discovery. Next came his second piece, " "The Core of Nothingness"," which delved into the emotions of love and yearning.
Dr Amani Dr Al-Zu'aybi i shared her poem "Balancing on the Breeze's Edge" which beautifully encapsulates feelings of love and self-reflection. She also shared "Bells of Metaphor," exploring themes of inner dialogue and self-reflection.
Dr Mohammed Al-Othman wrapped up the evening with his piece "Passage through Allegory," filled with deep reflections on love and nostalgia. He concluded with " Water’s Sheikh," an homage to history, loss, and resilience.
The evening came to a close, with poet Mohammed Al-Buraiki recognising the participating poets and the host.
