Sharjah 24: The Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) held its first meeting as part of the second parliamentary session of the eleventh legislative term, where the vital role played by the committee in promoting public health and social care in the emirate was highlighted.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, at the council’s headquarters in Sharjah, was chaired by Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of members Dr. Hind Saleh Al Hajri, committee’s rapporteur; Dr. Ruqayya Rashid Al Zaabi; Issa Abdul Rahim Al Zarouni; Ali Salem Al Shamsi; Ahmed Salem Humaidi Al Ketbi; and Khalfan Saif Al Masafri, in addition to the committee’s secretary, Amna Basalib.
Mohammed Saleh Al Ali pointed out the importance of good preparation for the next stage, as the committee intends to complete its work plan that it started in the previous session, which is a comprehensive plan in line with the strategic directions of SCC.
Al Ali also pointed out that the committee will enhance its interaction with various segments of society to meet their needs and aspirations.
The meeting discussed the exchange of views on future steps and work mechanisms, and members reviewed the recommendations and topics raised in the previous session.
The committee affirmed its commitment to enhancing its efforts to achieve its goals and support the efforts made in the fields of health, labour and social care, which contributes to achieving sustainable development for the emirate.
