Organised with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and under the supervision of Expo Centre Sharjah, the 2024 edition of the exhibition features more than 200 major brands specialising in camping, outdoor equipment, and marine excursions.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs in Sharjah, during a ceremony attended by H.E Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah.
The opening ceremony was also attended by H.E Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI, along with several Sharjah Chamber board members, and H.E Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, Also present were H.E Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Mohammad Musabah Al Tunaiji, Director of Expo Al Dhaid, as well as key officials from Al Dhaid’s government entities.
Following the inauguration, the attendees toured the exhibition’s different stands and pavilions, where they were briefed on the new products and exhibits on display this year.
Spanning an area of around 2,800 square metres, the exhibition showcases a selection of over 10,000 of the latest products, supplies, and innovations in camping and outdoor sports, as well as hunting and fishing gear and camping-related safety and security devices.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E Abdallah Sultan Al Owais affirmed that the Adventure and Camping Exhibition has cemented its position as one of the most important events hosted by Expo Al Dhaid. It has evolved into a leading specialised exhibition for camping and outdoor activities in the UAE and the region.
He also emphasised the exhibition’s significance in promoting adventure tourism and bolstering Sharjah’s tourism sector, a vital economic resource for the emirate. The exhibition highlights top camping and safari spots in Sharjah, attracting new visitors to the central region which boasts unique archaeological and touristic landmarks.
For his part, H.E Saif Mohammed Al Midfa asserted that the broad participation of top camping and adventure companies in this year’s edition underscores the event's ongoing success and growing importance to exhibitors. The exhibition offers an unparalleled opportunity for companies to showcase their products and enhance sales through direct engagement with visitors and safari lovers.
He noted that this annual event has established itself as a leading platform and premier destination for adventure and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore and acquire the best and latest products and supplies for tourism and camping trips.
On its opening day, the 2024 Adventure and Camping Exhibition saw a notable influx of visitors eager to explore a wide range of adventure and outdoor gear, equipment and accessories. The items on display include tents, cooking and grilling utensils, comfortable chairs, and full camping sets, all offered at competitive prices with enticing discounts.
Furthermore, visitors had the chance to establish direct connections with companies specialising in wilderness equipment and outdoor adventure needs while fostering interaction with hunting, off-roading and desert sports enthusiasts. They also gained insights into recent developments in outdoor and adventure tourism as well as the latest innovations in camping and safari equipment.
This year’s edition stood out for its diverse lineup of exhibitors, including companies specialising in travel trailers, mobile homes, and camping safety and security devices. It also features participation from the adventure transport sector with its focus on motorcycles and four-wheelers, in addition to suppliers of marine sports equipment and hunting and fishing gear.
The sixth edition of the Adventure and Camping Exhibition also serves as an exceptional platform for off-roading, adventure and camping enthusiasts and safari lovers to discover Sharjah’s top tourist destinations, with its breathtaking landscapes and diverse ecosystems.
The exhibition is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with Friday hours set from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
