Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri Decree forming the Sharjah Academy of Police Science Board.
The Decree stipulated that the Sharjah Academy of Police Science Board shall be formed under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, and the membership of each of:
1. Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police - Vice Chairman.
2. Brigadier General Abdullah Ibrahim Al Sheikh Nassar, Director General of Resources and Support Services at the Sharjah Police General Command.
3. Brigadier General Ghanem Khamis Al Houli, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Amiri Guard.
4. Salem Obaid Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Member.
5. Sultan Ali bin Butti Al Muhairi, Member.
6. Sultan Mohammed Obaid Al Hajri, Member.
The Decree also stipulated that the term of membership in the board shall be three years, starting from its first meeting. The board shall continue to carry out its work upon the expiration of its term until a new board is formed. The board shall have a secretary, whose appointment shall be issued by a decision of the board’s chairman.
