Sharjah 24: The Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled will organise, in April, the “8th International Scientific Forum for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled”, in coordination with the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC).
The Forum will host many researchers from different countries around the world.

The Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, in the meeting chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness's continuous generosity towards athletes, which reflects and translates His Highness's vision of supporting sports as a vital and purposeful way of life, which is a great incentive for the club's members to exert more efforts to raise the flag of the UAE at all local and international levels.

Bin Saleh also stressed the keenness of SSC and many sports bodies and institutions to support sports for people with disabilities, which promises a prosperous future and promising achievements in local, international and Olympic sporting events, in addition to upgrading clubs for people with disabilities in terms of facilities and providing material and moral support, in addition to providing opportunities for local, regional and international participation for players.

The scientific conference aims to shed light on the latest developments related to technology for modified physical education and sports for people with disabilities, and seeks to provide a database that includes the results of scientific research to benefit all organisations, institutes, colleges, bodies and sports councils.

Louay Saeed Allay, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, reviewed means of cooperation between the organising and supervising bodies of the conference. He also reviewed the names of a number of guests and speakers who are among the most important scientists, researchers, thinkers, experts and those interested in issues of modified physical activity at the international level.

Louay Saeed Allay extended an invitation to all clubs and centres of people with disabilities, in addition to universities, institutes and research centres, to keep pace with developments in various fields and sciences and reach a global level of knowledge that serves the future of sports in general and sports for people with disabilities in particular.
