In a statement issued today, Tuesday, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, considered that this humanitarian initiative embodies the spirit of fraternal solidarity and cooperation between Arab countries, and reflects the UAE's permanent commitment to supporting brotherly peoples in times of crisis.
He stressed that this initiative comes in light of the difficult conditions witnessed by Lebanon, calling on the international community to work seriously to protect civilians in accordance with international laws and conventions.
He said: "The initiative of the UAE and its wise leadership comes within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the UAE to promote the values of human solidarity, brotherhood and peace, and is an expression of the wise leadership's constant endeavor to alleviate the suffering of peoples, and provide a helping hand in the most difficult circumstances."
