Sharjah 24 – AFP: The Lebanese Red Cross announced on Monday that at least 18 people were killed and four others injured in an Israeli raid on a town in the Zgharta district of northern Lebanon, marking the first such attack in the area.
The Red Cross confirmed "18 martyrs and four wounded," following an initial report from the Ministry of Health that stated nine fatalities. The raid targeted a residential apartment in the predominantly Christian town of Ayto.

This incident follows another Israeli strike on Saturday in the town of Deir Bella, about 15 kilometres from Batroun, which hit a house where families from southern Lebanon had sought refuge.
