Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA) has launched the "Archaeological Geographic Information System" during its participation at the "GITEX Global 2024" exhibition, as part of Sharjah Government's platform at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the slogan "Towards a Sustainable Digital Future” in present of Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX Global and Director-General of the Sharjah Digital Department.
Eisa Yousif, Director General of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority (SAA), and Dr Saeed Abdullah bin Yarouf Al Naqbi, Director of Support Services Department at SAA were also present at the launching ceremony.
The "Archaeological Geographic Information System" represents one of the pioneering initiatives aimed at preserving the cultural heritage of the Emirate of Sharjah using the latest advanced technologies.
