Sharjah24 - AFP: Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in eastern Indonesia spews hot clouds up to one kilometre into the sky in a new eruption on Saturday afternoon.
The mountain, located on the popular tourist destination of Flores island, has erupted multiple times since the end of last year with some major eruptions prompting authorities to raise the alert status to the highest level and evacuate at least 2,000 residents. The volcano is currently at the second-highest alert level.
Indonesia, a vast archipelago nation, experiences frequent eruptions due to its position on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", an area of intense volcanic and seismic activity.
