Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, unveiled the project of the most beautiful park in Al Batayeh area, "Al Rafia Park", which has begun work on an area of 30 square kilometres.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that the examination system for law students at the universities of Sharjah, Khorfakkan, Kalba and Al Dhaid is based on answers with explanation and writing and cannot be converted to a system of answers by choosing between "yes" or "no", in order to qualify them to practice their work in the courts; which requires them to have the skill of expression and argumentation to prepare comprehensive reports and write petitions.

His Highness said in a telephone interview on the “Direct Line” programme broadcast on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, with Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, in response to suggestions by some law students at the University of Khorfakkan to change the examination system to a “yes” or “no” answer: “I want to respond and clarify to these students; we are responsible for the universities of Khorfakkan, Kalba and Al Dhaid, and as for law students, their examinations cannot be set to a “yes” or “no” answer system; because after graduation, the law student will practice his work and go to court and will be asked to write a petition and a complete report, so how can he write these things when he is not used to them? The law student must be qualified to stand before the judge and respond to his answers in the correct legal ways.”

Regarding Al Dhaid Lake, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi said: “Al Dhaid Lake is a large lake, and we are now addressing the issue of trucks passing through certain roads in Al Dhaid City, as the first passage of these trucks begins from entering Al Dhaid Square near the TV Tower and the trucks exit on the Martyr Sultan bin Mohammed bin Huwaidin Street, and then traffic is disrupted in this area. Work is now underway to divert the passage of trucks from behind the university, and the Roads and Transport Authority is working on constructing a tunnel at the intersection to prevent traffic congestion on the Martyr Sultan bin Mohammed bin Huwaidin Street. On the other hand, we are now studying a solution for the passage of trucks on the Al Dhaid Bridge, as the bridge is designed to have places on both sides to watch the lake and enjoy boat races and rowing, and this is not compatible with the passage of shipments on the bridge, so we found a solution to this matter, which is to make the trucks pass through a road outside this area, and studies are ongoing to achieve this matter.”

Regarding Al Batayeh area, His Highness said: “We have Al Rafia Park in Al Batayeh area, which is the most beautiful park; its area is 30 square kilometres. It is our duty to provide the residents with a happy life, and to protect them, their children and the elderly among them and take care of them. Within this framework, we are working to provide health insurance, although it is expensive. We have not and will not be stingy with people; but we are taking the matter slowly; the youth, thank God, do not have diseases like the elderly, while health insurance does not accept the elderly, so we provided them with health insurance, thank God, and we received a proposal to provide comprehensive health insurance for all the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah; I told them that if we could do that, we would definitely do it; but a day will come soon, God willing, when we will reach this goal when God Almighty gives us thanks to the prayers of the people, and we wish health and safety for everyone.”
