Sharjah 24: The Arab Theatre Institute (ATI) published three books out of sixteen books that included theatrical texts by three Arab writers.
The texts varied in their structure and methods, and even varied in the target groups, as one of them included game texts for the home and school environment.

The texts included "Nights of Cordoba", three plays by Dr. Abdul Hakim Al Zubaidi from the United Arab Emirates.  Al Zubaidi is a poet and researcher who holds a doctorate in management. He wrote many books related to poetry, folk and theatrical arts and received many important awards.

The three plays are “The Tragedy of Abu Tayeb,” “Nights of Cordoba,” and “The Beautiful Deceit.” Dr. Haitham Al Khawaja, introduced the book saying that the beauty of all the plays is that the author left the reader the pleasure of insight before discovery, Because he displayed in these plays great poets such as Al Mutanabbi in (The Tragedy of Abu Tayeb), and Ibn Zaydoun in (Nights of Cordoba).

He drew inspiration from the biographies of the two poets for what is important to the recipient and what is suitable for dramatic formulation. In his sanctification of the past, this does not mean his neglect of the present, so he wrote (The Beautiful Deceit).

The second text was "Four Plays in Search of the Self" (Encounter of the Self, Specters, Departure from the Text, Al Sulayk), written by Khamsa Al Farhan, a Saudi writer with a Master's degree in English Literature, an essayist and playwright. The writer expressed her texts by saying that in each text, there is a journey towards discovering the self and its human conflicts, and it invites the reader to participate in the journeys to get to know selves that they may have a share of.

From the text “Encounter of the Self”, the protagonists asked himself: Where am I? Am I alive or dead? If I am alive, where am I? And if I am dead, this must be heaven. But where am I in heaven?
The third text was “Theatrical games: for the home and school environment”, written by a Syrian writer who introduced many books to the children's library, Muhannad Al Aqous, a teacher in Damascus schools and the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER).

Al Aqous proposes, in poetic language, 30 short dramatic texts to be the basis for dramatic games, games saturated with feelings and information. It can be said that Al Aqous, in these short texts, proposes to the educator and parents new opportunities for useful play and entertainment for the child.

Secretary-General Ismail Abdullah stated on the occasion of these publications, ATI seeks to introduce new writers to leave their creative mark within the reach of researchers in theatre. Al Zubaidi and Al Farhan are two new names on ATI platform, while Al Aqous has been among the winners and candidates for winning many times in the competition for writing texts directed at children.
