Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Club men's handball team began its journey to defend its title in the Emirates Handball Cup competition for the 2024-2025 sports season, by achieving victory over the Dibba Al Hisn team with a score of (32-24).
This came in the match that brought the two teams together in the first round, on Friday, at the Sharjah Club Hall, where the first half ended with Sharjah leading (22-11).
The Emirates Cup will be held this season in a single-round league system with the participation of 7 clubs: Sharjah, Mleiha, Shabab Al Ahli, Al Wasl, Al Nasr, Dibba Al Hisn and Al Wahda, during the period from October 4 to 26.
Sharjah will host Al Wahda in the second round next Tuesday, October 8, then face Mleiha on the 12th of the same month in the third-round matches, before hosting Shabab Al Ahli in the fourth round summit on October 15.
It is worth noting that Sharjah team is the most crowned team in handball in the UAE with 46 championships, and the men of Sharjah Club won 5 titles out of 6 last season.
