Sharjah24: His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX Global and Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, confirmed that the emirate's participation in GITEX reflects its role in driving innovation and excellence, enhancing its commitment to sustainable development, and adopting future technologies to implement a comprehensive vision that achieves the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071.
This was stated during the preparatory meeting organised by the Supreme Committee for Sharjah Government's Participation in GITEX Global Exhibition, held today, Tuesday, with the presence of Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Chairman of the Supreme Committee, Engineer Lamya Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Department, and representatives from the participating government entities.
During the meeting, the organizational and media aspects of the participation in the exhibition were reviewed. This year, the Sharjah Government will participate under the slogan "Towards a Sustainable Digital Future." The emirate’s pavilion will feature 13 government entities showcasing 18 digital projects and initiatives, ranging from new and updated services based on advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality. These projects aim to enhance communication with the public and provide integrated services swiftly, efficiently, and securely.
Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi praised the Sharjah Government's participation in GITEX Global Exhibition and the notable progress made by Sharjah in its journey towards digital transformation. He emphasised that this development is the result of fruitful partnerships and constructive collaboration with various government entities, which have contributed to raising the quality of government services and ensuring their swift, seamless, and secure delivery to customers. Additionally, he highlighted Sharjah's continuous commitment to sustainable development goals and its pursuit of adopting best practices and innovative solutions in the field of digital services.
He added, "This distinguished presence at GITEX Global reflects the Sharjah Government's commitment to achieving an integrated and sustainable digital transformation, contributing to the development of the government services sector, enhancing the well-being of community members, and supporting the development journey of the UAE."
Sharjah Government announced its participation in "GITEX Global 2024," scheduled to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14 to 18, during which it will showcase a variety of innovative digital projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing its digital presence and highlighting its technological development.
