Sharjah24: The Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, is set to take part in the 2024 Riyadh International Book Fair (RIBF), where it will present a selection of its key publications at the booth of the Gulf Arab Education Office. The fair is scheduled to continue until October 5th.
The Centre's booth showcases a variety of publications dedicated to the education of the Arabic language. One of the key features is the Reference Framework for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, an innovative resource that provides a thorough strategy for improving the skills of those new to the Arabic language.

A specialised study is also on  display, focussing on the development of e-reading skills for high school students, with the goal of enhancing their engagement with digital content.

The centre is unveiling a research study titled Difficulties in Teaching Writing in Early Grades. This study explores the various factors impacting students' writing skills and proposes effective solutions to address these challenges.

The booth also features a selection of translated books that address a range of topics in education and teaching methods, enhancing the academic significance of the fair.

Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States (ALECGS), emphasised the center's commitment to advancing Arabic language education through its participation in the Riyadh International Book Fair. He highlighted that the event provides an opportunity to showcase the center’s latest publications, which focus on developing curricula and educational programs tailored to meet the needs of students in the digital age.

Dr. Al Hammadi also noted the importance of contributing to this prestigious cultural gathering, which brings together experts and educators from around the world to exchange knowledge and ideas.

He also stressed that the centre's involvement underscores its dedication to promoting Arabic language education and enhancing the cultural identity of Gulf states, aligning with educational goals that foster community development.
