Cultural and literary activities
With the support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and under the guidance of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), and in collaboration with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, the institute aims to expand the SBA-sponsored Arabic Language Festival to feature a broader range of activities, such as poetry readings, language workshops, group discussions, and book fairs showcasing authors from diverse backgrounds.
The institute provides an immersive cultural experience that extends beyond cultural exchange. Its Arabic language programmes offer participants the opportunity to learn the language while deepening their understanding of the culture. Exchange scholarships for students and researchers from both regions further enrich educational experiences and uncover the creative wealth of Arab and Italian literary heritage. By nurturing emerging talents, the institute supports young Arab and Italian writers in honing their skills and gaining recognition for their work.
