Sharjah24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) took part in the seventh Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2024), organised by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) from September 18 to 19.
Held under the theme “Futuristic Vision for Smart Economies”, the forum featured more than 80 high-profile speakers from around the world, bringing together regional and global decision-makers, investment strategists, economic experts, and business leaders to discuss the future of smart economies and growth opportunities across global markets.
As a strategic partner of SIF 2024, the Sharjah Chamber engaged in a series of meetings and panel discussions with top government officials, heads of economic entities, ambassadors, and business leaders and investors from across the globe.
During these discussions, SCCI showcased the investment advantages and promising opportunities available in Sharjah’s emerging economic sectors. It highlighted the emirate’s economic diversification policies, strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and conducive investment environment, which solidify Sharjah’s position as a leading economic and commercial hub in the region.
Additionally, the Chamber outlined its exceptional services and efforts to attract foreign investment through international trade missions and active participation in both local and global economic forums.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, commended the Sharjah Investment Forum for highlighting the emirate's strategic economic vision and its initiatives to expand within emerging sectors. He noted that this forum helps reinforce Sharjah’s position as a leading investment destination regionally and globally.
He affirmed that the Sharjah Chamber is keen to leverage such forums to build strategic partnerships across various economic sectors and to spotlight the emirate's burgeoning investment opportunities, especially in rapidly growing vital industries.
Al-Awadi underscored the Chamber’s commitment to creating an appealing and dynamic business ecosystem, as it seeks to deliver comprehensive investor support that includes advisory services and streamline the process of establishing new enterprises.
The Sharjah Chamber is also keen to collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance the emirate's business environment. These efforts aim to promote sustainability across key industries, in alignment with Sharjah's vision of building a diversified and sustainable knowledge-based economy.
At the forum, the Sharjah Chamber was honored during the partner recognition ceremony. The award was received by Waleed Abdel Rahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI, accompanied by Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Al Shehhi, SCCI’s Board Member.
The recognition acknowledged the Chamber's significant contributions and its role in driving the Sharjah Investment Forum’s success, positioning it as a key platform for strengthening partnerships with Arab and foreign investors, both at home and abroad. It also highlighted the Chamber's efforts to broaden channels of communication with decision-makers and government officials from across the globe.
