Sharjah 24: Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), announced that the 24th Sharjah International Narrator Forum (SINF) began on Thursday, featuring 145 researchers from 32 countries. The forum will run for four days, concluding on September 22.
Al Musallam noted that many bird tales are rooted in logic, wisdom, and advice, often linked to religious stories in Arab culture, such as the hoopoe and Prophet Solomon, the crow and Cain, and the dove at the cave of the Noble Messenger. He emphasised that the forum serves as a platform to highlight the richness and diversity of popular culture and the significance of oral heritage in preserving national and cultural identity.

The Chairman of the SIH stated in an interview with "Sharjah 24" that Mauritania was chosen as the festival's guest of honour due to its significance in the oral narration of Arab heritage and diverse narratives. He added that the publications the institute will present about Mauritania will enhance the Arab library.
