Sharjah 24: The Rubu’ Qarn Science and Technology Centre, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, unveiled its latest developed programmes in mathematics, implemented for the first time in the Middle East, under the title "The Art of Problem Solving in Mathematics".
The programme is launched based on the centre’s endeavour to hone the skills of creative minds of future generations in critical thinking and creative problem solving, in an integrated educational journey that contributes to enabling them to reach an advanced competitive stage in mathematics.
The programme is a creative platform targeting members of Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, in addition to all those interested in mathematics from 10 to 17 years old. The programme aims to provide them with many ideal opportunities that constitute a combination of challenge and creativity, reflecting the prominent pioneering role of the Rubu’ Qarn Science and Technology Centre in opening new horizons of knowledge being the solid cornerstone that serves different disciplines of science and technology, to achieve the vision of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators “A community partner in building and empowering conscious and influential generations”.
The programme includes a set of interactive courses presented by a group of international experts in the field of mathematics, to enhance the skills of members in critical thinking and logical analysis, throughout the programme that will be held at the headquarters of the Rubu’ Qarn Science and Technology Centre, in the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, for children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 years, while it will be held at the Children’s Centre in Kalba for for children and adolescents aged 10 to 12 years, from September 30, 2024, to August 21, 2025.
The programme focuses on providing a comprehensive educational curriculum, in which theoretical knowledge is harmonised with practical application, developing the capabilities of members to deeply understand problem-solving strategies in mathematics, decipher difficult equations, solve complex issues, and transform them into opportunities for excellence and innovation.
The programme consists of rich educational materials carefully designed to suit different levels of members and help develop their abilities and enhance their experience not only in solving mathematical problems, but also in innovative thinking and strategic planning. The programme also contributes to enhancing independent learning for members, motivating them to explore innovative ideas while providing the necessary support and guidance when needed.
