Buhour wins first at Al-Ketbi's Championship

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Camel Racing Club organised the Saeed Muadhad Saeed bin Huwaiden Al-Ketbi Championship, which took place on Sunday, September 1, at the Al-Dhaid Camel Racing Track, with substantial participation from camel owners and trainers. The race contained 30 rounds for the 3 and 4 year age group of camels owned by tribespeople, with the camel "Buhour" winning first place in the first race.
At the conclusion of the race, Abdullah Mohammed Muadhad bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, and Saeed Muadhad Saeed bin Huwaiden Al-Ketbi awarded the winners in the presence of Mohammed Obaid bin Hamad Al-Tunaiji, Vice President of the Club, Khalid Matar Al-Tunaiji, and Salem Rashid Al-Muhayan Al-Ketbi, members of the club's board.

Al-Ketbi, Chairman of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for their ongoing and significant support of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club and heritage enthusiasts in preserving this important tradition.

According to Saeed Muadhad bin Huwaiden, the Sharjah Camel Racing Club effectively staged this race, which had a large turnout from camel owners from the start. He stated that organising such races helps to develop this traditional sport at a high and professional level and thanked the organising committee for their efforts in making this event a success.
