As part of IGCF pre- activities COMMS highlights AI and metaverse

The COMMS programme, a proactive initiative of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2024), concluded at Al Majaz Amphitheatre from August 26 to 29, with participation from numerous students and media professionals.
Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, CEO of Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting (AIJRF), and a member of the Government Communication Academic Committee, highlighted the success of the COMMS programme. The programme featured seven workshops on modern media, artificial intelligence, and government communication, which were well received by participants and experts. This response underscores the International Government Communication Forum's dedication to advancing discussions on government communications and the societal impact of future technologies.

Dr. Mohamed Abdulzaher, in an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24," shared that one of the workshops, titled "Advanced Technology: Artificial Intelligence and Metaverse, and Dynamic Human Skills for the Arab Labour Market," explored the significant impact of modern technologies on media and communications. He also discussed how human skills can adapt to the rapid changes in the labour market.

CEO of AIJRF emphasised the importance of integrating artificial intelligence with human capabilities, highlighting the need to update educational and training frameworks to align with the demands of the new era. He noted that dynamic human skills are crucial for effectively absorbing and utilising advanced technologies.
