Sharjah24: A special training camp is being organised by the Sharjah Sports Council for exceptional athletes from the emirate's clubs in team sports like basketball, volleyball, and handball. A summer camp has been scheduled in Bosnia from August 5th to 16th, as part of the council's continuous commitment to offering athletes the opportunity to experience various styles of play and improve their skills through international camps.
This initiative is in line with the council's strategy, with a particular focus on talent discovery and nurturing.
The camp features both physical and technical training sessions, as well as collaborative practices with teams from Bosnia to foster technical and physical development.
A camp in Bosnia is being organized by the Sharjah Sports Council for 60 exceptional athletes from eight different clubs: Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Al Bataeh, Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Madam, Khorfakkan, and Kalba. The camp is overseen by Mohammed Obaid Al Hussan, the Director of Sports and Development, with a team of experts from Bosnia. A diverse team of coaches and administrative staff, with a strong focus on improving their administrative skills, is joined by a group of sports experts from the council.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, highlighted the council's dedication to organising this camp, similar to previous years, with the goal of encouraging continuous growth in team sports. He also urged the players to make the most of their time at the international training camp in order to improve their future performance.
In addition, His Excellency Abdul Latif Al Fardan, a board member of the Sharjah Sports Council and head of the Team Sports Committee, emphasized the importance of the overseas camp for distinguished players. He believes that this camp will provide valuable experience for both the administrative and coaching staff from the national cadre.
