Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council continues its "Our Holiday is Extraordinary” initiative with vibrant activities at the Dibba Al-Hisn Sports Cultural Club. The third week kicked off under the theme "National Identity" yesterday evening, featuring a rich array of cultural, sports, creative, and entertainment activities and workshops.
The event was attended by Ahmed Abdullah Ali Al Naqbi, Head of the Events Committee at Dibba Al-Hisn Club, and Mohammed Ali Mohammed Ali Al Zahouri, Head of the Cultural and Community Activities Committee at the club. The activities began with two workshops. The first workshop, titled "Media Impact," was led by media consultant Maryam Al Hamadi from the Volunteers' Brilliance team. She discussed the ethics of media and its pivotal role in strengthening national identity by emphasising the importance of accurate and reliable information dissemination to build trust between the public and media outlets. The lecture underscored the significant influence of media on societies and individuals.

Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, in his role as committee chairman, highlighted the importance of upholding Emirati values and traditions as foundational goals of the country's approach, promoting national values through tolerance, respect, and coexistence in a positive light.

Additionally, Mohammed Rashid Rashid Al Hammoudi conducted another workshop titled "Emirati Craftsmanship: A Lifestyle," aiming to introduce participants to Emirati customs and traditions and stress the significance of preserving these practices in daily life. The workshop focused on applying these cultural elements to maintain cultural identity and enhance societal values.

Indoor activities included traditional popular games, ball games, swimming, water sports, and rubber boats, while outdoor fields hosted a football activity alongside other events.
