During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two councils and the friendly countries, and the outcomes of the economic forum.
They affirmed the need to intensify joint efforts to address the economic and social challenges facing the region and the importance of consolidating the partnership and cooperation between the parliaments of member states to achieve sustainable development and prosperity.
The second edition, which was held from 11th to 12th July, provided an ideal opportunity for a host of parliamentarians and PAM founding partners to interact with political and economic stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as academia and civil society.
Participants discussed means and mechanisms to meet the challenges of producing low-cost energy in the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, and the transformative impact of AI on entrepreneurship, healthcare and agriculture. The Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, and digital transformation in driving economic growth and fostering sustainable development across the regions.
