Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council concluded the initial stage of the Sharjah Summer Sports event “Our Holiday is Different”. The event began on Monday, July 1st, and will run until the end of the month. The event attracted a significant number of sports and specialised clubs from across the emirate, resulting in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
The inaugural week, titled "Here is Sharjah," showcased a diverse range of programmes designed for the various age groups attending the event at different clubs. The event featured a wide range of activities.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), attended the cultural competition held at Mleiha Cultural Sports Club, praising the vibrant atmosphere and enthusiasm of the participants, in the presence of several dignitaries.
The author commended the lively ambiance and the participants' fervour. Al Madam Club emerged as the victor, with Al Dhaid securing second place and the Sharjah Women's Club, Wadi Al Helo branch, taking third.
During the week, a programme called "Our Children Come First" received a lot of attention from participants, including a lecture and workshops.
The event showcased various activities, including colouring famous landmarks in Sharjah, highlighting innovation. Various sports including football, basketball, volleyball, and taekwondo were scheduled alongside visits to popular attractions in the emirate. The second week of the event will kick off with the exciting theme.
