"Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, and a group of heads and directors of government institutions and bodies launched the activities of the Khorfakkan Mango Festival, which is in its third edition, on Friday."
Bu Zengal mentioned that the third edition features a series of competitions and accompanying events taking place daily for 4 days at the Expo Center Khorfakkan.
In statements to "Sharjah 24," he added that the festival, which is organized by the Municipal Council of the City of Khorfakkan in cooperation with the Municipality of Khorfakkan and the Sharjah Chamber, now includes the significant participation of approximately 30 institutions, farms, and productive families in its new version.
He explained that the festival, which features 150 varieties of mangoes, citrus fruits, and their products, provides a unique platform for international participation. We are excited to welcome Saudi Arabia and Oman for the first time this year, which adds a new dimension to the event.
Bu Zengal emphasized the festival's considerable economic and tourism value. The event serves not only as a celebration of agriculture but also as a strategic initiative to enhance the region's agricultural prosperity, support mango fruit farmers and producers, and showcase Khorfakkan's abundant tourism potential.
