Sharjah 24 – SPA: In an atmosphere filled with faith and spirituality, more than 1.8 million pilgrims began performing the ritual of throwing stones at Jamrat Al Aqaba in Mina early Sunday morning. The process was smooth, facilitated by extensive service and security measures, ensuring no crowding or stampedes across the four floors of the Jamarat facility.
The pilgrims performed the stoning ritual without congestion, supported by comprehensive security, health, ambulance, and civil defense services. Security personnel efficiently organized the movement of pilgrims in the courtyards of the Jamarat Bridge, as well as at its entrances and exits.
After completing the stoning of Jamrat Al Aqaba, pilgrims proceeded to perform the acts of sacrifice, starting with the slaughtering of their sacrificial animals, followed by shaving their heads, and then circumambulating the Kaaba and performing sa'i between As-Safa and Al-Marwah.
