Sharjah 24: In a distinctive gesture embodying humanitarian work, the Khalidiyah Suburb Council of the Sharjah Districts Department, in collaboration with the Sharjah Ports and Customs Authority, launched the "Good Luggage" initiative for the sailors at the Sharjah Creek.
This initiative aims to enhance the council's role in social and humanitarian work and solidify its service to community segments within its jurisdiction. The initiative involves the council providing 100 packages of essential items needed by individuals, including clothing and fabrics for Eid, to bring joy and happiness to them on the occasion of the upcoming Eid Al Adha. These packages are branded under the slogan "Good Luggage."
Each package includes comprehensive Eid preparations such as an Eid thobe, a shemagh, an agal, and fabrics for personal use. Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of the Khalidiyah Suburb Council, along with the council's Vice Chairman Mohammed Rashid Bin Jarash and council official Imran Mohammed Al Hammadi, visited the Al Khor Customs Centre in Sharjah.
They were received by Jarash Mohammed Bin Jarash, Director of Al Khor Customs Center, accompanied by Deputy Director Abdulrahman Bouganem, Head of Customs Operations Ahmed Bouganem, Head of Technical Support Hazim Bin Hadda, Senior Customs Officer Abdullah Ahmed Al Suwaidi, and Customs Officer Ammar Al Hashimi.
Jarash Mohammed Bin Jarash welcomed the delegation from the Khalidiyah Suburb Council and praised the initiative. Khalfan Saeed Al Marri highlighted the council's commitment to fostering cooperation in humanitarian work with collaborating entities within its jurisdiction. He emphasised that the initiative aimed to provide Eid clothing essentials in an elegant manner, representing charitable work during these blessed days. He noted that this segment is in need of these essentials due to the upcoming Eid Al Adha, prompting the council to include them in its ongoing initiatives.
Al Marri extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah. Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, Chairman of the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, and the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority, as well as to all employees and workers in these authorities for their continuous efforts and excellent cooperation in embodying charitable work.
