Sharjah24: A team from the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (SARF) and the International Modern Sailing Federations (IMSAF) paid a visit to the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club on Thursday, June 12, 2024.
The delegation was led by Mr Tim Cross, a specialist from the International Modern Sailing Federation, and Zuhair Labbate, the UAE Federation's technical director and an expert in the International Federation. They were welcomed by Mr Salem Al Khayyal, a member of Al Hamriyah Club's Board of Directors and Chairman of the Individual Games and Talent Nurturing Committee.
The three parties met in the boardroom of the Al Hamriyah Club, which was attended by Najib Pasha, the modern sailing coach, and the club's individual game supervisors, Thamer Al Shamsi and Hamid Obaid Ghadir.
The meeting covered the UAE Modern Sailing Federation's vision for 2024–2032 as well as coordination for the International Federation to approve Al Hamriyah Club as an international training centre.
Today's visit is the second to Al Hamriyah Club, following the first at the beginning of the year. A third visit is expected for December 2024 to complete the clearance procedure.
