Sharjah 24: The Sharjah 'B' team has won the 2023-2024 UAE Handball Cup for Juniors, their fourth straight win and sixth overall in club history. On Saturday evening at Sharjah Sports Club, the Sharjah 'B' team narrowly defeated the Sharjah 'A' team, 20-19, in the event's final match.
This achievement follows a similar victory in the 2009–2010 junior season, when the Sharjah 'A' team won the league and the Sharjah 'B' team won the junior cup. As a result, both teams have split the junior league and cup championships for the 2023–2024 season. Last February, the Sharjah 'A' team won the junior league shield, while the Sharjah 'B' side finished third and received a bronze medal. However, the Sharjah 'B' team won the cup competition.

Nasser Salem Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Handball Federation, presented the championship cup and gold medals to the Sharjah 'B' juniors, while the Sharjah 'A' team received silver medals for finishing second.

Abdul Latif Al Fardan, a member of the Sharjah Sports Council and Chairman of the Group Games Committee; Mohammed Obaid Al Hossan, a member of the Sharjah Sports Club Board of Directors and Head of the Group Games Department; and Youssef Ahmed, the supervisor of the junior handball stages at Sharjah Club, all attended the ceremony amid cheers from Sharjah handball fans.
