Sharjah24: Maryam Rashid Al Zaabi, the curator of the Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi House Museum, emphasised the importance of introducing the era of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi's rule over the city of Kalba, and highlighting the details of that era through historical documents.
She told Sharjah 24 that the museum, from this standpoint, organised the "Exchanged Letters" exhibition, which was inaugurated by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Deputy Chairman of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, on Wednesday, in the presence of a crowd of officials and residents of the city.

She explained that the exhibition, which is hosted by the museum and will continue until the end of the current year, includes a number of historical documents and handwritten correspondence of Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi, and some members of his family.

Al Zaabi indicated that these correspondences clarify the prevailing social and cultural customs at the time, including details of daily life and the lifestyle during that period, in addition to the exhibition's display of some personal belongings and household tools used at that time.

The curator of the Sheikh Saeed House Museum noted that the exhibition and the manuscripts it contains provide a clear vision of a number of contemporary positions and events during the reign of Sheikh Saeed over Kalba, and the letters reveal several social, cultural, and economic aspects, through which the visitor can learn about the history of the region decades ago.
