Sharjah24: Al-Madam Cultural and Sports Club's archery team won seven medals at the UAE Indoor Archery Cup, including three golds, two silvers, and two bronzes. These accomplishments add to the club's long history of success at the local, regional, and international levels.
Al-Madam Cultural and Sports Club organised the event from May 25 to 26, under the supervision of the UAE Archery and Shooting Federation. The tournament featured 138 male and female athletes from 14 clubs across the country.
The club's archery champions also earned 7 medals (4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze) as part of the national team's participation in the first Gulf Youth Games, out of the UAE's total of 22 medals.
The Chairman of Al-Madam Cultural and Sports Club, Sultan Muhammad Muadhed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, commended the athletes' accomplishments and congratulated the winners in all categories.
He stated that this achievement highlights one of the important strategic goals advocated by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in terms of sports and clubs. His Highness has hailed the ongoing efforts to professionally train athletes by creating an ideal training environment and implementing innovative developmental programmes, which have resulted in outstanding accomplishments in both local and international events.
He confirmed that the club will continue its development strategy and support programmes aimed at strengthening its members' capacities, honing their skills, discovering new talents, and participating in local and regional events.
