Al Muhairi stated that within the next two years, all necessary data will be finalised to accredit Khorfakkan, Al Dhaid, and Kalba as healthy cities. This follows the example of Sharjah, which became the first healthy city in the Middle East in 2015 and was re-accredited by the World Health Organisation in 2022.
He added that during the committee meeting, they reviewed the next steps, which include forming coordination committees comprising various local and federal entities and departments. Additionally, workshops with the World Health Organisation will be held to train these teams to complete the data on healthy cities.
Al Muhairi concluded extending his best wishes for success and prosperity to all teams involved, expressing his hope that all cities in the Emirate of Sharjah would become healthy cities.
