He stressed the need to work harder to maintain the gains made, develop plans to serve the community, and enhance the process of comprehensive development. It also supports projects that establish a sustainable food security system, which is essential to enhancing and consolidating security and stability for society.

The department is responsible for supervising several food projects that translate the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. These projects aim for sustainability, upgrading all resources, improving production, and paying attention to the community's share.

Dr. Al Tunaiji emphasized the department's societal role in promoting a culture of sustainability, rationalizing the use of resources among community members, and working to involve all community institutions. The department encourages the development of research and innovations in the agricultural and livestock sector. It also benefits from their results by adopting agricultural and livestock projects that rely on modern technologies and best sustainable practices.

He appreciated the efforts of the Sharjah Excellence Award, represented by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a national initiative supporting institutional work. The award stimulates best practices in all fields and creative competition between participating entities from the government and private sectors at the state level and the Arab Gulf countries. It encourages them to adopt innovative initiatives and projects that benefit the economy and society alike, and works to highlight distinguished models by crowning and honoring them at the level that suits them.
