To ensure that all basic needs of supplies and goods are met, the Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Kalba Comprehensive Police Station, is taking care of all residents of the shelter centers designated in the city to receive those who were affected by the heavy rains that have impacted all parts of the country.
Al Laghai mentioned several families had left the centres, and the responsible authorities had finished preparing their homes for their gradual return to everyday life.
In his statements to "Sharjah 24," Al Laghai explains that the Sharjah Police worked to implement a proactive plan for the depression, which included equipping and preparing two shelter centres in Al Shifa Bint Abdullah and Al Shuhada schools, in addition to hotels to accommodate those affected by the rain.
He further explained that with the beginning of heavy rains, the competent authorities immediately began working on transferring the affected families of citizens and residents to shelter centres and hotels. They also provided all their living needs in cooperation with several government departments and institutions, including the Ministry of Defense, the Civil Defense Authority, the Social Services Department, Kalba Hospital, the Red Crescent, and the Sharjah Charitable Society.
