Sharjah 24: At the first Gulf Youth Games (GYG), UAE 2024, Al Hamriyah athletes Mohammed Al Owais and Hamad Al Shehi will compete in modern sailing and swimming for the United Arab Emirates.
The six Gulf countries, the United Arab Emirates as host, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait will compete from April 16, 2024, to May 2, 2024.
Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club Chairman Hamid Hassan Al Shamsi sent his congratulations to Al Shehi and Al Owais on being selected to represent the youth swimming and modern sailing teams and wished them and all players on the national teams the best of luck.
He thanked His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, President of the National Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the first Gulf Youth Games, for keeping track of the games' progress and overseeing the work of the core and operational committees.
