As part of the programme, the SSSD is distributing 30 baskets of sweets to families under its care in Sharjah, while a dedicated team delivers Eid baskets directly to homes.
In the elderly care home, the Department launched "Our Eid With Them" volunteer opportunity, inviting individuals and institutions to visit the department during Eid and share the festivities. This initiative, now in its second year, aims to foster meaningful connections with the elderly, promote community cohesion, and integrate them with the broader community.
Visiting hours are set from 10 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Additionally, Eid Al Fitr activities include organized external trips for members of social homes, enhancing their experience and enjoyment during the holiday season
