Sharjah 24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has allocated 15,000 Iftar meals to distribute to Sharjah taxi drivers from the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan to the end of the holy month, at a rate of 500 meals per day supplied to drivers by the organisation's staff.
According to Mohammed bin Nassar, Director of the SCI Corporate Communications and Marketing Department, the Iftar for Fasting project is one of the most important projects of the Ramadan campaign, embodying the principles of social solidarity and strengthening partnerships between the association and all government and private sector entities interested in participating in this noble work.
Khalid Al Kindi, CEO of Sharjah Taxi, said, "This initiative comes in the month of goodness, embodying the values of giving and virtue deeply rooted in the hearts of the people of the Emirates and reflecting the values of tolerance, generosity, and humanitarian giving instilled by our wise leadership in the hearts of citizens and residents on its land."
