Sharjah24: The Academy of Medical Educators (AoME) in the United Kingdom has announced its accreditation of the Master of Sciences in Leadership in Health Professions Education (MSLHPE) offered by the University of Sharjah (UOS) in collaboration with the University of East Anglia in England. This accreditation affirms the program's commitment to educational excellence in the health professions and recognizes its compliance with AoME's professional standards for medical educators.
This accreditation entitles graduates to an accelerated application process for becoming members and fellows of the academy (MAcadMEd).
In response to this achievement, His Excellency Professor Hamid M.K. Al-Naimiy the Chancellor of the University, stated that the accreditation of this Master's Program by a distinguished international body such as the AoME serves as a testament to the exceptional quality the program offers its graduates. It also positions the program as a pivotal pillar in advancing leadership in health professions education in the country and the region, enhancing its status as a leading force in medical education both regionally and internationally.
The Master of Sciences in Leadership in Health Professions Education aims to prepare healthcare leaders, and future health professionals' educators, including faculty members, trainers, and their equivalents in colleges and institutes of health professions, by developing their personal and professional skills. It contributes to improving education and learning in the field of health professions through evidence-based practice and research.
