Sharjah 24: Al Kharous Suburb Council, affiliated with Sharjah Department of Suburbs Affairs (SDSA), conducted a visit to Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) at its headquarters in the city of Sharjah, where several points related to developing infrastructure and enhancing cooperation between the two parties were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of SRTA; Engineer Sulaiman Al Hajri, Director of the Authority for Road Affairs; Abdullah Al Ali, Acting Deputy Director of the Road Maintenance Department; Dr. and Engineer Mohsen Balwan, Director of the Traffic Engineering Department; and Hamad Muhammad Al-Hammadi, Administrator of the Office of the Chairman of the Authority.

On the part of Al Kharoos Council, the meeting was attended by Chairman Juma Abdullah Al Hamoudi; members Omar Al Awani and Abdullah Muslim Al Riyami, in addition to Abdullah Obaid Al Dhahouri.

Discussions began with requests regarding streets and roads in Al Kharous suburb, where new and future projects of interest to citizens were reviewed, and the importance of following up on the implementation of these projects to ensure that residents’ needs are met and their quality of life is improved.

In another context, the importance of strengthening relations between the council and SRTA was emphasised, in order to ensure effective coordination between the two parties in achieving common goals.

Juma Al Hamoudi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to SRTA for the efforts made in serving the community and improving the infrastructure in Sharjah, as well as the rapid response of the Authority to cooperation and coordination with the Council. Al Hamoudi also expressed the Council’s readiness for close and constructive cooperation with the Authority in the future.
