Sharjah 24: Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), revealed that more than 30 stores participated in the second Ramadan Dkakeen Festival, which kicked off on Thursday at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre Square.
Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, the activities of the Dkakeen Ramadan Festival, will run until next April 14.
The Director General of the SGMB told “Sharjah 24” that the festival aims to consolidate the Ramadan atmosphere stemming from the authentic popular heritage, and to enhance community cohesion during the holy month.
He added that the festival includes 34 diverse stores, including cafes, restaurants, fashion stores, Ramadan decorations, perfumes and Dukhoon, and other productive families’ and entrepreneurs’ products.
The festival enhances the commercial activity in the city of Khorfakkan, as well as the tourism promotion of the city, as it is held in one of its most prominent tourist attractions- the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, which is characterised by its unique and distinctive architectural style.
Allay explained that the festival continues for a whole month, until Eid Al Fitr, noting that the festival is open to visitors from families and tourists daily from 8 pm until midnight.
