Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has reintroduced the "Joy of Eid" initiative to help the children who are under the care of several departments and centres within the department that are involved with child safety and care.
Bringing delight to youngsters during Eid is the goal of the initiative, which is why they will be given presents. Gifts will be distributed to children as young as one month old and as old as eighteen within this programme, which has been running for twelve years straight.
According to Hessa Al Hammadi, director of the department's community cohesion division, the "Joy of Eid" initiative began in 2013 with the goal of encouraging local businesses to help provide happiness to children by donating toys and money.
Approximately 500 boxes have been reserved for the "Joy of Eid" initiative in collaboration with Sharjah's Al Rahmaniyah Centre. These are the gift boxes that will be provided to the children, and they may fill them with whatever they want from the stores that participate in the initiative.
Second, each kid will receive a donation of AED 300 as an Eid gift. This money will be sent to the child's or guardian's bank account.
The gifts will be prepared and ready to be distributed to the recipients in the last 10 days of Ramadan, according to Al-Hammadi. She went on to say that the department's partners and collaborators are crucial to the project's success and longevity.
