Sharjah 24: His Excellency Majid Salem Al Jenaid, CEO of Sharjah Cooperative Society, opened a new branch in Al Kharous suburb in the Emirate of Sharjah, at a cost of more than 10 million dirhams, as a continuation of its ongoing achievements in the Emirate of Sharjah.
His Excellency extended his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for their constant follow-up of the cooperative’s progress. He also extended his thanks to His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the shareholders, and all the employees, for opening Al Kharous branch.
His Excellency stressed that Sharjah Cooperative Society is working to keep pace with the rapid economic growth in the Emirate of Sharjah, as it launches future strategic plans towards building a major economic system in the retail sector, to have leadership in the local market as the largest and oldest cooperative societies in the country in providing cooperative services for 47 years.
His Excellency stated that the establishment of Al Kharous branch comes in implementation of the directives of the cooperative’s Board of Directors, to establish a branch that serves the people of Al Kharous suburb and the areas surrounding it, and is considered a continuation of the strategic plan developed by the cooperative, which is to spread throughout all parts of the Emirate of Sharjah, and provide cooperative service to the largest segment of citizens and residents alike.
The branch is located in Al-Kharous suburb on an area of approximately 800 square metres and includes more than 10,000 types of food and non-food items, distributed among the various sections.
The branch also has all fresh sections such as vegetables, fruits, butchery, fish, grilled meat, and grilled fish.
The branch also provides additional services to the people of Al Suyoh suburb with rented commercial spaces that include a pharmacy, barber shop, laundry and cafeteria, to ensure achieving an integrated service mix for shoppers. ATMs will also be provided in the coming days.
On the occasion of the opening, Sharjah Cooperative Society provides a variety of offers and discounts on products, in addition to shoppers earning 10 times the points when shopping from Al Kharous branch from the 7tbh to the 10th of March.
His Excellency the CEO thanked all the departments, bodies and companies that contributed to the completion of this project. He also thanked all the departments and divisions of the Sharjah Cooperative Society for their efforts in making the opening of Al Kharous branch a success and providing the best services and products to the cooperative’s shoppers.
