Smartphone Photography 101: Tips for Capturing Striking Images

March 05, 2024 / 6:17 PM
Sharjah24: Rob Irving , is a smartphone photographer from London, boasting a notable 25 years in the field, both in the studio and on location. His expertise spans across a diverse range of photographic subjects, including people, products, events, and architecture.
Recently, he conducted a workshop that aimed to educate attendees on how to capture high-quality photos using a smartphone. Rob emphasized that there is no backdoor hack to enhance the quality of the photographs. However, he assured the audience that with careful consideration and analysis of the scene to be captured, they can obtain the photos they desire.

Rob, during his statements to “Sharjah24”, emphasised that the key to taking good smartphone photographs is the same as for all photography- slowing down. By taking sufficient time to think through the composition of the shot, photographers can obtain a single high-quality photograph, rather than a series of meaningless, low-quality shots. Therefore, by adopting a strategic approach to smartphone photography, photographers can capture invaluable memories that will last a lifetime.
