Sharjah24: Yousef Al Tunaiji, Director of the Contributions Department at the Sharjah Social Security Fund, (SSSF) announced the launch of the SSSF’s second workshop for 2024, aimed at providing Sharjah Government employees with a comprehensive understanding of pension disbursement. The workshop will be accessible to employees from the central departments and will align with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to ensure a decent standard of living for Sharjah citizens and children of female citizens employed by government departments.
The workshop intends to facilitate employees' comprehension of their insurance benefits, including pensions, bonuses, and grants, as well as the controls for participation in the fund. The workshop will elucidate the social security privileges accorded to the insured according to the law, including the implementation statement of Law No. 5 of 2018 regarding social security in the Emirate of Sharjah.
According to Al Tunaiji, during his statements to “Sharjah24,” the workshop will cover various aspects of social insurance, including subscription controls, funding sources, subscription account salary, payment of contributions, insurance subscription periods, controls on vacations, loans, sick leave, transfer controls, professional and social risks covered by the system, and the stages of developing insurance protection. The workshop will also examine the social insurance umbrella and the characteristics of the system to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic.
