The event’s activities will be held this year in Sharjah, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Al Dhaid, including lectures, workshops, artistic performances, and various activities.
Sixteen clubs participate under the umbrella of the Council, including Sharjah Old Cars Club, Sharjah Falconers Club, Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club, Dibba Al-Hisn Club, Al-Thiqah for Handicapped, Ittihad Kalba, Al Bataeh, Khorfakkan Sports Club, Al Madam, Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women, Mleiha, Khorfakkan for the Disabled, Al Dhaid, and Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club, Al-Hamriyah and Sharjah Sports Club. The clubs cooperate to present the pavilion’s exhibits, programmes and various sections, as well as organiing entertainment competitions with prizes for the public.

Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, stressed the importance of the Council’s participation in the event and said that it is a cultural wedding that began 22 years ago under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He added that the SHD has demonstrated, in its past sessions, the importance of preserving heritage and passing on its vocabulary from generation to generation, in addition to its cultural and tourism role in communicating between peoples. The Chairman of the Council congratulated those in charge of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its founding, and praised their efforts in preserving the emirate’s heritage and culture. He stressed that the Council is keen every year to invest in the event’s platform to communicate with its audience and to diversify its materials, exhibits and programes so as to combine culture and sports.
