Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) held its monthly top management meeting at Sharjah Classic Cars Museum, which was headed by HE Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, with the presence of number of Managers, Advisors and Experts for the Department. During the meeting, several topics were reviewed including SEDD achievements, new plans and initiatives, as well as latest work progress.
At the beginning of the meeting, SEDD Chairman, welcomed the attendees, stressing on the importance of the topics discussed in such meetings, as well as the most prominent future challenges, which contribute to developing the work process. Also, HE looked through the indicators of the economic situation for the month of January. Likely, the meeting highlighted the most prominent achievements and projects that were achieved during 2023, and the projects that will be worked on during the current year.
Furthermore, Hamad Al Mahmoud, appreciated the achievements attained thanks to the efforts made by various Departments and Sections, which contributed significantly to accomplishing their mission of achieving comprehensive economic development and developing a competitive business environment by strengthening institutional capabilities to achieve a diversified and sustainable competitive economy that assures the economic well-being of the business community in cooperation with strategic partners.
Moreover, Al Mahmoud explained that the Department, through its regular review of business data, continues to develop the business sector and improve all the services based on the customer’s experience. Al Mahmoud added that the Department focuses on the current trend in studying the market, building economic indicators, developing proactive visions, focusing on the time and accuracy of transactions, facilitating procedures, informational linkage with partners and customer service centers, and data governance in the Department. Al Mahmoud clarified that are of these procedures are adopted to serve investors and customers in the best ways possible as they go in line with the wise vision of Al Mahmoud Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as well as Shiekh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Price, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, whom call for the importance to simplify and facilitate all services in a way that contributes to achieving growth and economic development at the level of the main economic, industrial and commercial sectors in the emirate.
By the end of the meeting, Al Mahmoud called for intensifying efforts, building on previous achievements, and continuing the process of giving in promoting economic development in Sharjah, enabling the Department to attain its mission, embodying its vision, and translating the goals for which the Department was established for.
