Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” held meetings with number of investors and company owners in the gas sector as part of its concerns to adhere to its strategic plan calling for planning and leading economic development in the emirate by improving the satisfaction and loyalty of key customers and partners through adopting best practices in procedures and quality systems.
The meeting, which was held with the participation of many companies, the most prominent of which was Arrow Gas & Technical Services LLC, Universal Ind. Gast Establishment, and United Gas Co. LLC, discussed means of cooperation to provide the best services and continuous work to develop the work of these companies. This is done to enhance Sharjah’s position on the economic map and develop the gas sector in the emirate to comply with the highest quality standards in accordance with the highest international practices and to support the various economic sectors and their sustainability.
The organisation of this meeting comes as part of the department’s concerns to achieve effective communication with investors and owners of companies operating in the gas sector and to provide them with all laws and legislation related to their activities. Also, it falls within SEDD’s concerns to receive development comments, discuss what can be provided to them, and improve the services provided to achieve the best government practices that would develop the sector.
Commenting on that, Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, said that the department is making great efforts to achieve the highest levels of competitiveness in the emirate, which positively impacts the local product. He stressed that the business environment in Sharjah is among the best in the region, thanks to the simplified procedures adopted by SEDD and all other government agencies.
Al Mahmoud added that SEDD is guided by the wise vision of the wise leadership on the importance of developing the role of the commercial and industrial sectors in achieving comprehensive sustainable development. Also, he emphasised the important role of the private sector in sustainable and continuous development, creating more opportunities in the emirate and cooperating with government agencies in raising and achieving quality-of-life indicators.
On the other hand, investors, owners of factories, and economic establishments praised such meetings with the department. They stressed their keenness to continue working with SEDD so that their factories would contribute effectively to providing added value to the economy of Sharjah and to support the government’s efforts aimed at activating the role of the private sector to be a strategic partner in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in the emirate.
Furthermore, they appreciated the support provided by SEDD to private sector establishments, its diligent care, and tireless efforts to enhance their role in a way that contributes to developing the gas sector, serving its workers in the best way, and providing them with appropriate support in the most effective way.
At the end of the meeting, SEDD Chairman, honoured the attendees for their effortless cooperation with the Department to raise the emirate’s stature locally, regionally, and internationally.
