Sharjah 24: The second edition of the "Shams Creative Festival”, hosted by Sharjah Media City (Shams) from February 16-18, concluded on Sunday.
Over the three-day event, more than 2000 attendees, along with 50 participants, showcased a diverse array of small and medium-sized projects, presented by entrepreneurs, talented individuals, and innovators.

The festival, hailed as a tremendous success by Rashid Abdullah Al Obed, Director of the Sharjah Media City (Shams), garnered significant local participation, bringing together craftsmen, entrepreneurs, and national talents. The festival created a vibrant atmosphere, reflecting a community eager for learning and collaborative creativity.

Al Obed emphasised that the second edition provided an inclusive space for participants, uniting creatives with institutions supporting talent and innovation. The events catered to creatives, featuring centres for small and medium-sized projects, educational and emerging projects, as well as activities for young creators, students, children, and the broader community.

Highlighting the importance of creativity in the nation's progress, Al Obed noted that the festival's continuity reflects a commitment to entrepreneurial leadership based on innovative ideas, enhancing creative industries, promoting entrepreneurship, and stimulating business growth. Shams aims to empower institutions and individuals, contributing to community well-being, economic performance, and competitive capabilities.

The festival's organising committee focused on showcasing the experiences of small and medium-sized project owners and entrepreneurs to sustain the work of creatives, foster adaptive innovation amid market changes, and effectively contribute to building a stimulating environment for project growth and development, thereby supporting the national economy.

On the festival's second day, a classic car show organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Classic Cars Club drew significant interest from various nationalities and age groups. Attendees participated in recreational and artistic workshops, enjoyed live music performances, engaged in creative activities, and took part in interactive competitions. Additionally, they had the opportunity to sample a variety of foods from the festival's food stalls.
