The team received a warm welcome from Kaltham Obeid Al Matroushi, Deputy Chairman of the Al-Thiqah Club for the Handicapped. The evaluating group comprised Maryam Al-Hosani, who serves as the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management and chairs the committee, Khaled Al Junabi, the Head of the Strategic Planning Department and Vice Chairman, Hani Al Qasim, a Specialist in Awards and Programmes, and Maryam Al Nuaimi and Anoud Al Harthi, both serving as Executives.
Kaltham Obeid Al Matroushi praised the council's support for national initiatives and its ongoing commitment to societal goals. This aligns with the country's emphasis on embracing sustainability in the current year, contributing to increased awareness about the crucial use of natural and financial resources. In a similar vein, Maryam Al Hosani, the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance Management and the head of the award, commended the Al-Thiqah Club for the Handicapped for advancing the principle of sports sustainability.
She highlighted the purpose of the visit, which was to finalise the evaluation of clubs after their submission of various projects and initiatives. Maryam Al Hosani noted that all clubs displayed exceptional performance, effectively contributing to the award's objective of fostering a widespread culture of sustainability among clubs. Furthermore, she mentioned that the assessment would showcase the council's endeavours in this regard, affirming the active role of the sports system in the emirate in accomplishing significant societal goals.
