Sharjah 24: The second poetry soiree of the Sharjah Arabic Poetry Festival (SAPF) took place at the Sharjah Cultural Palace.
It was attended by Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture, Mohammad Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at the Department of Culture in Sharjah, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Breiki, director of Sharjah's House of Poetry, along with a large audience of poets, intellectuals, critics, and lovers of poetry.
Sudanese media professional Abdul Latif Mahjoub hosted the event, welcoming attendees and thanking Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for His Highness’s ongoing backing of culture and Arabic poetry.
The second day's Soiree featured seven poets from various Arab countries and poetic styles, including Abdul Latif bin Yusuf from Saudi Arabia, Abdul Rahman Al Humairi from the UAE, Shumaisa Al Namani from Oman, Salim Al Rumydhi from Kuwait, Ali Hajab from Mauritania, Asma Al Hammadi from the UAE, and Dr. Adil Al Zahrani from Saudi Arabia.
